A senior Pentagon official told the House Armed Services Committee on Wednesday that the estimated cost of the Iran war so far has reached approximately $25 billion. The expenses are primarily driven by ammunition consumption, as well as costs associated with operational deployments and equipment replacement. However, this figure is significantly lower than many external estimates. Given the high tempo of U.S. military air and maritime operations, coupled with the substantial cost of replenishing expensive air defense systems, the actual fiscal pressure may be even greater. The Trump administration may later seek hundreds of billions of dollars in additional funding to cover the overall costs of military operations across the Middle East.
