US media: Iranian Ambassador to China, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, stated that China and other friendly countries will receive "special preferential treatment" regarding tolls for passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
He said at the Beijing World Peace Forum that, following four months of war between the United States and Israel against Iran, this critical energy transit route has become a "national security" issue, and thus Iran will cooperate with Oman to establish a "new arrangement" concerning the Strait of Hormuz.
This means Iran plans to charge service fees for vessels passing through the strait, but will offer differentiated treatment to countries such as China.
