Poland's Defense Minister Says Russian Il-20 Aircraft Was Accompanied by Polish Fighter Jets
On September 1, Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz posted on social media platform X that due to the presence of a Russian Il-20 aircraft flying over the Baltic Sea, the Polish Air Force on-duty unit had been urgently scrambled.
According to him, the incident occurred approximately 30 kilometers north of Rombas. Kosiniak-Kamysz also clearly stated that Polish airspace had not been violated.
The minister emphasized: "Our airspace over the Baltic Sea was not breached."
