India to Display Long-Range Hypersonic Anti-Ship Missile for the First Time

Sputnik Moscow, January 21 - According to a report by India's The New Indian Express, India will display a long-range hypersonic anti-ship missile for the first time at the Republic Day parade.

The report states: "This long-range hypersonic anti-ship missile, developed by India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), will make its global debut at the 77th Republic Day parade."

The report points out that the missile was developed for the Indian Navy, aiming to destroy enemy ships. Its range can reach 1,500 kilometers, with a flight time of 15 minutes. Currently, Indian engineers are developing an improved version of this hypersonic missile to increase its range to 3,000 to 3,500 kilometers.

On January 26, India celebrates Republic Day. The highlight of the celebrations will be the parade held on Kartavya Path in New Delhi.
