Russia's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson: Russia Plans to Increase Oil Exports to India

Anna Zakharchenko, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that Russia plans to continue increasing oil exports to India, which aligns with the interests of both Moscow and New Delhi.

Speaking to India's First Post, Zakharchenko said: "Russian oil holds a significant position in bilateral trade. We plan to continue increasing its exports, which serves the interests of both sides. Russian energy operators are ensuring timely fulfillment of orders from Indian counterparts, as quickly as possible."

Zakharchenko added: "Indian partners consistently take into account the factor of their special priority strategic partnership with Russia when establishing interactions with other major global centers, including the United States."

In mid-March, Rajesh Agrawal, Secretary of India's Ministry of Commerce and Industry, stated that India had increased its crude oil purchases from Russia. At the same time, he emphasized that New Delhi has never relied on any country’s approval when buying Russian oil.
