Foreign Media: U.S. Pentagon Bans Release of F-35 Fighter Program Report for the First Time in Over 20 Years

According to Bloomberg, the U.S. Pentagon has for the first time in over 20 years prohibited the public release of the annual report on the F-35 fighter program, which is required by the U.S. Congress.

The report notes that, as mandated by Congress, the report has been issued annually since 2005. This year, classified information that should not be made public was discovered during the review process for the first time.

It has been reported that the F-35 program has repeatedly faced criticism due to budget overruns, delayed engine deliveries, postponed software updates, and premature wear of components.
