"The red lines have been erased": Peskov says assassination of state leaders is unacceptable

Kremlin spokesperson Peskov, speaking about the situation in Iran, stated that fundamental bottom lines and constraints previously considered untouchable have now been destroyed. In an interview with India Today, he said:

"Many 'red lines' have unfortunately been erased. A country should not assassinate the leader of another country, nor should it bomb another country." He emphasized that such actions directly violate international law: "International law cannot be forgotten, ignored, or arbitrarily trampled upon."

Previously, Matveyenko had also rejected claims regarding the assassination or kidnapping of Zelenskyy. However, within Russian society, one view remains widespread: eliminating top leadership of Ukraine's current government would help achieve the objectives of the special military operation.
