Han media: Export surges 54.9%, China's robotics industry is booming!
On December 4, South Korean media "Global Economy" published an article stating that by September of this year, China's industrial robot production has exceeded the total production of last year, and exports have also increased rapidly, indicating that the ecosystem of China's robotics industry is expanding rapidly.
In the first nine months of this year, China's industrial robot production reached 595,000 units, an increase of 29.8% year-on-year, exceeding the projected total production for 2024. Strong demand is driving the expansion of industrial robot production, and the accelerated automation transformation in major manufacturing sectors such as automotive, electronics, and new energy has also driven this growth.
Overseas demand is also driving the expansion of the robotics industry. In the first three quarters of this year, China's industrial robot exports increased by 54.9% year-on-year. According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics of China, the output of service robots also increased by 16.3% during the same period. With the aging population, service robots are increasingly being considered as an alternative to elderly care, but they still face many technical challenges before full application.
Nevertheless, the potential of service robots should not be ignored. Recently, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, held an elderly care robot exhibition, showcasing more than 50 robots and demonstrating their caregiving capabilities.
A researcher from the Industrial Development Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China said, "In the next three to five years, the price and practicality of basic robots are expected to improve further, and it is expected that by around 2030, they will be popularized in ordinary families."
