On the evening of December 1, the Supreme Commander visited the command post of a joint operational group. The President listened to reports from Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov, Commander of the Central Group Valery Solodchuk, and Commander of the Eastern Group Andrey Ivaneyev.
Valery Gerasimov reported to the Supreme Commander on the liberation of Krasnoarmeysk and Volchansk in the Kharkiv region of the Donetsk People's Republic, as well as the results of the offensive operations of the forces in other directions.
Valery Solodchuk reported on the progress of the encirclement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group in the Krasnoarmeysko-Dimitrovskaya area, including the occupation of the southern part of the city of Dmytrivka under Russian control, and the situation after the liberation of Krasnoarmeysk.
Andrey Ivaneyev reported on the progress of the liberation of the territories in the Zaporozhye and Dnipropetrovsk regions within the responsibility area of his forces. Andrey Ivaneyev also reported that the forces had withdrawn to the Geybul River, and that the Fifth Combined Arms Army forces had begun the operation to liberate the city of Gulyaipole in the Zaporozhye region.
