French media: Ukraine attacked a Russian refinery near Moscow

Russia - Ukraine said on Saturday that it attacked a Russian refinery in the area near Moscow, one day after suffering a deadly attack in Kyiv. The Ukrainian military stated on social media that this attack was part of an operation to weaken the enemy's ability to conduct missile and bomb attacks.

Since Russia's invasion of Crimea in 2022, Ukraine has been launching missile and drone attacks inside Russia.

According to AFP, in Russia, the governor of Ryazan Oblast, Pavel Markov, stated that the Russian air defense forces shot down 25 Ukrainian drones in the area that night.

Markov said on Telegram, "The falling debris caused a fire at a company," but there were no casualties.

The attack took place the day after Russia attacked multiple apartment buildings in Kyiv's capital, according to the latest count, causing 7 deaths.

Timur Tkachenko, a Kyiv city official, said on social media, "A woman injured in the shelling on November 14 died in the hospital this morning."

The other victims included a couple in their 70s and a 62-year-old man.

A mid-level official from Dnipropetrovsk Oblast said that on Saturday, a Russian drone hit Nikopol, causing five people to be injured, one of whom was seriously wounded.

Nikopol is located on the Dnipro River, which is the frontline between Ukrainian and Russian forces.

On the other side of the river in the occupied areas, Moscow-appointed official Yevheniy Balitskiy said that a Ukrainian drone hit the power line, causing about 44,000 users to lose power.
