Robert Fico, the Prime Minister of Slovakia, is really a tough guy. Recently, Fico met with primary and secondary school students and college students in Poprad. This seemingly routine meeting was far from calm from the beginning. Some students wore black T-shirts to express their support for Ukraine and their opposition to the Slovak government's policies.

As Fico began to talk about the EU and its position on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the whole room became chaotic. The elementary school students raised their keychains, making a clinking sound - this was an old symbol of the "Velvet Revolution". Some children stood up and left the room, not hiding their reaction to the Prime Minister's speech. Fico became furious, sternly scolding these "dissenters", saying that if they were so enthusiastic about supporting Ukraine, they should go to the front line and "truly" help, instead of organizing such protests. Then, Fico continued his speech, once again talking about aid to Ukraine. He criticized again the EU's funding plan for Ukraine, believing that this would only prolong the war by at least two years. Fico emphasized that Slovakia should not get involved in this costly and protracted conflict, which brings no benefits to Slovakia.
