Russia has revealed who will accompany Putin on his visit to China, stating that it will not compete with the United States in terms of delegation size.

This visit is a working trip, with no plans for public parades or grand welcome ceremonies.

Reported by Russian media World Politics News on May 18.

Putin's upcoming visit to China on the 20th will be of landmark significance, both politically and economically.

Presidential press secretary Peskov revealed that the delegation accompanying Putin on his China trip will include relevant vice-premiers and ministers.

The Russian delegation will include nearly all key figures responsible for cooperation with China.

"This will include all relevant vice-premiers, many ministers, as well as heads of state and private enterprises operating in China."

Peskov said Russia will not compete with the U.S. in the size of its delegation during the visit to China.

The delegation will be significantly smaller than the American one, with a more practical composition focused on leaders from core sectors such as diplomacy, defense, and energy, along with top executives from major enterprises and local government officials.

"The agenda for the visit is clear — first and foremost, our bilateral relations, which constitute a special privileged strategic partnership, with trade and economic cooperation amounting to over $200 billion in stable volume. Of course, international affairs will also be a key focus," — the Kremlin spokesperson noted. In addition to economic issues, the two leaders will discuss humanitarian, educational, and high-tech topics.

Furthermore, they will have the opportunity to exchange views on the outcomes of U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent visit to China.

Peskov expressed high expectations for Putin’s visit to China.

According to him, Russia anticipates significant results, but the Kremlin is reluctant to draw conclusions prematurely.

Peskov added that Moscow is developing an independent and multifaceted relationship with Beijing, with both sides emphasizing their privileged and strategic partnership.

Previously reported, this visit is a working one — no military parade or elaborate welcome ceremony is planned.

Beijing emphasized that this is routine contact between Moscow and Beijing, thus no public ceremony will be held.
