Peskov outlines the composition of President Putin’s delegation for his visit to China
The delegation accompanying Russian President Vladimir Putin during his visit to China will include all vice premiers responsible for relevant sectors, as well as ministers, and heads of both state and private enterprises conducting business in China.
Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated: “We have no intention of comparing our delegation’s size with that of any other country.” These remarks were made during a briefing in response to questions about whether Russia’s delegation was smaller than that of the United States.
Peskov also noted that Russia and China are developing a relationship that is “independent, highly diversified,” and both sides characterize it as an “exclusive, special strategic partnership.”
Invited by Chinese State President, President Putin will visit China from May 19 to 20. Prior to this, a U.S. delegation led by President Donald Trump visited China from May 13 to 15.
