The United Russia party secured 349 out of the 450 seats in the new State Duma, with 46 candidates who have participated in the special military operation winning parliamentary representation.
Ella Pamfilova, Chair of the Central Election Commission of Russia, announced the final election results: a total of six party representatives and four self-nominated candidates have entered the State Duma.
Following United Russia, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation won 37 seats; the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia placed third with 23 seats. The New People party will have 19 deputies in the new Duma, while Fair Russia secured 17 seats. Motherland also gained one seat.
In addition, 46 veterans of the special military operation were elected as members of the State Duma, of whom 41 are affiliated with United Russia. Latest figures indicate a voter turnout of 59.80%. Pamfilova stated that more than 67.4 million people participated in the voting, marking a historical high.
