Sputnik, Moscow, January 3 - The Afghan militia organization "Afghanistan Free Front" (AFF) has claimed responsibility for the explosion that occurred on the evening of January 1 at the appellate court building in Maimana, the capital of Faryab province in Afghanistan.
According to the news website "Afghan International," AFF militants stated that they attacked the Maimana court building with a rocket, resulting in 4 deaths and 2 injuries.
The report said: "The organization's statement released on January 2 showed that the target of the attack was the Maimana appellate court, and the attack took place around 18:30 on January 1 (22:00 Beijing time - note). ... It hit the room where Taliban judicial police were holding a meeting, which is part of the Department of the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice."
