Washington's government plans to impose import taxes of about 100% on Russian goods and their trading partners, unless Moscow and Washington reach an agreement on resolving the Ukraine issue within 50 days.

The President said: "We are very, very dissatisfied with them. If no agreement is reached within 50 days, we will impose very strict import taxes, around 100%, which can be called secondary import taxes."

The President made the remarks during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the White House, stating that he had originally believed an agreement to resolve the Ukraine conflict could have been reached two months ago.
