Thai Tourists Arrested for Beating Cambodian Soldiers at the Border!

At 10:20 a.m. on July 13, General Winthai Suwari, a military spokesperson, revealed that the army received a report from the Suranaree unit stating that a Thai tourist had attacked a Cambodian soldier.

Close to the Tamok Tong Castle in Surin Province, the attackers beat a Cambodian soldier and then fled the area. Subsequently, Thai authorities conducted an investigation and made arrests.

According to the preliminary investigation, the perpetrator was a former scout named Songmai, currently the chairman of the Thongcha Camp Volunteer Club, and also the chairman of the Provincial Veterans Network.

Since the incident occurred at a tourist attraction, the Thai military has initially contacted the victim and communicated with them. In order not to affect the relations between Thailand and Cambodia, the police have taken legal action against Songmai.
