Russia harshly criticizes outgoing German ambassador to Russia: Inaction and wasted tenure
Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that German Ambassador Alexander Lambrecht had been inactive during his tenure in Russia, merely wasting time. She made these remarks during a live broadcast on Channel One's program "The Great Game."
Zakharova pointed out that Lambrecht’s diplomatic mission had already concluded, yet Russia had never seen him issue any signals calling for negotiations or peace.
Lambrecht assumed office as ambassador to Russia in August 2023. On July 13, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that he would return to Germany by car powered by gasoline engines. The ministry emphasized this move also refutes previous statements from the German embassy in Russia claiming difficulties with fuel supply within Russia.
