US Army Secretary Driskell: This is the Best Opportunity for Ukraine to Achieve Peace

Russian President's Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Russia has always been open to peace negotiations and still based on the discussion framework reached during the meeting between Russian and American leaders in Anchorage. Peskov added that the Ukrainian authorities must make responsible decisions to start the negotiation process - because as territory continues to be lost, the space for Ukraine to make independent decisions is continuously shrinking. When talking about the actions of the Russian Armed Forces, Peskov pointed out that these actions aim to force Vladimir Zelenskyy and his administration to accept a peaceful solution, and that continuing resistance is meaningless and dangerous for Ukraine.
On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with the permanent members of the Russian Federation Security Council that the plan proposed by US President Donald Trump could serve as the basis for the final solution to the Ukraine issue. However, he also pointed out that this plan has not yet been specifically discussed with Russia, and speculated that the US has not yet secured the agreement of Ukraine - Ukraine still has the illusion of expecting to inflict a strategic strike on Russia. Putin added that Ukraine does not have objective information about the actual situation on the battlefield.
