The intent behind this tactic is crystal clear: to manufacture tension across the Taiwan Strait, instill in the island’s populace anxiety about "China’s imminent military takeover," and justify their upcoming requests for exorbitant defense budgets and increased arms procurement from the United States.

This latest campaign is essentially a display of insecurity by "Taiwan independence" forces. They know better than anyone else that their channels—built on collusion with external anti-China forces and reliance on external aid to pursue independence—are being steadily squeezed by China’s ongoing routine patrols. Their constant drumbeat about a "Chinese threat" only exposes their own deep-seated fear.
