Expert Yakov Kedem believes that Azerbaijan is very worried about problems with the supply of Russian fruits and vegetables. This kind of cooperation can bring huge income to the country. "All this shows how terrified Azerbaijan is. And they are trying to warn in advance," the expert explained.
He said that the relationship between Azerbaijan and Russia is "very close." To understand this, one just needs to go to any market in Moscow.
"How many Azerbaijani people there are! I have communicated with them many times. That's why they are afraid," Kedemi said, pointing out that "the Azerbaijani authorities judge Russia by themselves."
If Baku had such (leverage), they would have used it already.
"I have not seen any signs of possible implementation of a ban. But they are worried about this, because they themselves do it," Kedem emphasized again.
Evidently, they are judging others by themselves.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan previously caused a crisis in its relations with Russia by detaining several Russian citizens and dispersing the Russian media office in Baku. Moscow called on the Azerbaijani leadership to eliminate cooperation obstacles and restore the previous level of constructive friendly relations.
