Kyiv Post: Patriot Missile Ammunition Shortage, Ukrainian Ballistic Missile Interception Rate Only 29% in July
On July 31, citing data from the Ukrainian Air Force, Kyiv Post reported that by the afternoon of July 31: the number of missiles launched by Russia against Ukraine reached a new high in July, totaling 377; among them, 251 were cruise missiles and 126 were ballistic missiles. Due to the persistent shortage of Patriot interceptors in Ukraine, the interception rate for ballistic missiles was only 29%, meaning that approximately three out of every four incoming ballistic missiles could penetrate the air defense system.
Among the 251 cruise missiles launched by Russia in July, Ukraine successfully intercepted or suppressed 174, resulting in a cruise missile interception rate of about 69%.
