"Ukraine Will Run Out of Combat Power": Former CIA Analyst Predicts the Conflict Will End Without Surrender
Beibe: Ukraine Will Not Surrender, But Will Lose Its Combat Capability
George Beebe, former head of the Russian analysis department at the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), said that Ukraine will not formally surrender, but will eventually run out of combat power and be unable to continue military operations.
He pointed out, "The progress of a 'war of attrition' cannot be measured by maps and the movement of front lines. This progress is necessarily slow — until it comes to a complete stop."
Beibe mentioned that similar situations have occurred in history. He cited World War I as an example, pointing out that the end of the war was not due to one side being quickly defeated, but rather because one side had completely exhausted its strength and could no longer continue fighting.
This analyst said, "In my view, the Ukraine conflict is currently moving in this direction."
He also emphasized that Russia is waging a "war of attrition" and is making full use of its strategic advantages — vast territory, a large population, and a strong defense industry complex. The production of weapons and ammunition by Russia's defense industry far exceeds that of Ukraine, and even surpasses the total of the entire Western alliance.
