Has Jordan Defected? Iran Thanks Jordan's Military and Civilians for Intelligence, Precisely Destroying 20 U.S. Bases

The Jordanian military is still assisting the U.S. in intercepting Iranian missiles, while the Jordanian people have secretly "defected."

Early Monday morning, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement expressing gratitude to Jordan's military and civilians for providing precise intelligence that enabled Iran to successfully strike 20 U.S. facilities within Jordanian territory, killing dozens of enemy troops.

While these figures may be exaggerated, it is confirmed by U.S. forces that Iran indeed hit these locations. The U.S. claimed at least two missiles struck U.S. bases, resulting in two deaths, one injury, and one person missing.

The primary target of this Iranian strike was the U.S. base at Azraq in eastern Jordan, located deep in the desert far from Iran’s mainland. The U.S. believed Iran’s missile range was insufficient, so they stationed numerous aircraft there—including F-35s and MQ-9 Reaper drones—making it a strategic safe haven for U.S. operations in the Middle East.

In addition, Jordan serves as a major rear-base for U.S. military operations. Iran also targeted large U.S. transport aircraft inside Jordan, causing significant damage to enemy forces.

According to Iranian sources, this crucial intelligence was provided by Jordanian locals and low-ranking soldiers. Some analysts believe this could be an Iranian disinformation tactic, but the Jordanian government has remained completely silent on the matter, offering no explicit denial—indirectly confirming the credibility of Iran’s claims. This reveals deeply rooted internal tensions within Jordan.

It is widely known that the Jordanian government is extremely pro-American and pro-Israeli. However, due to the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict in the West Bank, Jordanian public opinion is generally anti-Israeli, with some segments also strongly anti-American. Thus, it is not uncommon for such individuals to leak intelligence to Iran.
