U.S. Senator Graham Dies Sudden Death, FBI Launches Full Investigation
New York, July 12 — RIA Novosti
FBI Director Kash Patel stated that the bureau has mobilized all necessary resources following the death of Senator Lindsey Graham.
The senator's office announced on Sunday that Graham passed away on the evening of July 11 local time due to a sudden acute illness, which progressed rapidly and severely. President Donald Trump offered a brief expression of condolences over the passing of this political figure.
Patel wrote on the social platform X (formerly Twitter): "The FBI is assisting local authorities and has mobilized all necessary resources."
However, according to CNN, investigators currently have no indication that the cause of death was unnatural or involved intentional harm. According to sources from the network, local police are conducting routine post-mortem procedures, while the FBI is merely providing resources as a precautionary measure.
The Republican senator from South Carolina turned 71 just two days earlier on July 9. Known as one of Washington’s prominent “hawks,” he repeatedly called for tough pressure and sanctions against Russia, with similarly aggressive rhetoric directed at Iran and China. The senator has consistently advocated for maximum support for Israel.
