Former Trump National Security Advisor Bolton's Home Seized, FBI Director Makes a Statement

Multiple U.S. media outlets reported on the local time of the 22nd that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) raided and searched the home of John Bolton, former U.S. President's National Security Advisor, in Maryland on that day.

Reuters quoted sources saying that this search was "part of a national security investigation," and according to information known by The Wall Street Journal, the FBI did this to investigate whether Bolton had illegally possessed or shared classified materials.

At 7:32 a.m. on the same day, Bolton still posted on the X platform, criticizing the U.S. President Trump's position on the Ukraine-Russia conflict. It is currently unclear whether this post was scheduled in advance.

An FBI spokesperson said, "The FBI is conducting a court-authorized operation in the area. It does not pose a threat to public safety. We have no further comments."

Shortly after 7 a.m. that morning, FBI Director Kash Patel posted on the X platform, "No one is above the law, FBI agents are carrying out their duties." However, the post did not directly mention Bolton.

Bolton told CNN that he was unaware of the FBI's operation and is further investigating the situation.
