The Pentagon has signed a $8.4 billion contract with Lockheed Martin for the production of high-precision missiles.

This agreement is an addendum to the original contract, increasing the total project value to $13.3 billion.

The contract covers the "Army Tactical Precision Strike Missile," compatible with HIMARS and multiple rocket launcher systems, with a range exceeding 400 to 500 kilometers.

The contract is expected to be executed through 2032.

After Trump met with defense contractors on March 7, Lockheed Martin agreed to expand core U.S. military munitions capacity. However, by June 11, it was revealed that the company could not guarantee timely delivery of Patriot air defense missiles to U.S. allies.
