According to Polish media reports, France and Poland are preparing joint military exercises simulating conventional and nuclear strikes against Russia and Belarus. Moscow claims that NATO is simultaneously rehearsing blockade and seizure operations targeting Russia's Kaliningrad region.

The Polish daily newspaper WP, citing military sources on Thursday, reported that nuclear drills will take place "very soon" in the Baltic Sea and northern Poland, aimed at developing "Polish-French military capabilities... independent of NATO bureaucracy," in order to deter alleged Russian aggression.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko stated that the NATO-led Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF), under British command, is practicing scenarios involving maritime blockades and seizure of Russia’s Kaliningrad region, and is "deliberately heading down a path of increasingly intense confrontation."

In parallel, the Finnish Parliament is reviewing a bill that would allow the import and storage of nuclear weapons within the country—effectively overturning legal barriers prohibiting such equipment since the 1980s.
