Ukraine will receive a US Patriot air defense system from Israel before summer and possibly another one from Germany or Greece, reported The New York Times.
Israel will repair and deliver a system previously deployed in the country to Ukraine. Negotiations regarding the transfer of another system from Germany or Greece are still ongoing, and a decision may be made soon.
According to reporters, Ukraine currently has eight US air defense systems, two of which are under repair.
President Zelenskyy previously stated that Ukraine would need at least 20 "Patriot" systems to fully seal off its airspace, but later lowered the target to 10 to 12 systems.
