Reuters: Vietnam requests Japan and South Korea's assistance in obtaining crude oil supplies.
The Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade stated on Monday (March 16) that due to global supply disruptions caused by the Iran war, Vietnam has requested Japan and South Korea to help increase its crude oil supplies.
The country's Ministry of Industry and Trade said in a statement that Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long proposed these requests during the Energy Security Summit held in Tokyo over the weekend. "Requesting Japan to support Vietnam in finding and obtaining crude oil resources to meet domestic demand, given its important position and large crude oil reserves."
