He has become a prominent denier of the 2020 election results, frequently promoting unverified conspiracy theories and serving as legal counsel for key figures in this movement. Tikton previously served as a defense attorney for Trump in civil cases. Last week, after Peters — a former elections official from Mesa County, Colorado, who was convicted for tampering with the election system following the 2020 election in an attempt to substantiate Trump’s false claims of electoral fraud — was released from prison, Tikton met with him at the White House Oval Office to meet with Trump. Amid frustration over Congress’s failure to pass the "Save America Act," which would impose strict voter ID requirements, Tikton is among numerous allies urging Trump to take further action — specifically, issuing an executive order declaring a national emergency based on alleged foreign interference via electronic voting machines, effectively placing the upcoming midterm elections under federal control. Tikton asserts that Democrats are conspiring to seize enough congressional seats to impeach and remove Trump and Vance, thereby enabling House Democratic leader Jeffries to ascend to the presidency. Tikton also insists that evidence proving the claims related to the 2020 election will soon be made public. He further claims involvement by countries such as Venezuela and Iran. However, six years after the 2020 election underwent intense scrutiny, no such evidence has ever surfaced. A 2021 assessment by U.S. intelligence agencies concluded that “no foreign nation attempted to alter any technical aspect of the 2020 U.S. election process, including voter registration, voting, vote counting, or result reporting.”
