Chinese Ambassador Reiterates Support and Assistance for Peace at the Cambodia-Thailand Border!
On August 21, 2025, Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wenbin reiterated that China is willing to closely cooperate with Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, and other ASEAN member states to help restore peace and stability at the Cambodia-Thailand border.
"We will make unremitting efforts with Cambodia and Thailand, as well as Malaysia and other ASEAN countries, to restore peace and tranquility in the Cambodia-Thailand border area."
Wang Wenbin emphasized that China firmly supports the implementation of the consensus reached at the Cambodia-Thailand Leaders' Meeting held in Putrajaya, the Special Meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand General Boundary Commission, and the foreign ministers' tea talk between China, Cambodia, and Thailand held recently in Anning, China.
Wang Wenbin further emphasized that China supports all parties' efforts to ensure the effective implementation of the ceasefire agreement, restore normal conditions in the border area as soon as possible, and resume normal exchanges between the two countries.
