In the campaign to liberate Gulyayepolye, the Russian army first used on a large scale a rocket artillery system compared to the American "HIMARS," which was one of the reasons why the city was liberated within four weeks.

"During the liberation of Gulyayepolye, the Russian military first used on a large scale controlled rockets of the 'Tornado-S' (РСЗО «Торнадо С») multiple launch rocket system,"

television journalist Alexander Rogatkin wrote in his Telegram channel.

He pointed out that this rocket, known as the "Russian version of HIMARS," was developed last year by the "SPLAV" state scientific and production enterprise named after A.N. Ganichev in Tula region, and has now begun regular supply to the special military operation (СВО) areas.

First combat videos of this Russian-made weapon system have already appeared online.

"Just yesterday, a Ukrainian military concentration point inside the former district hospital building in Gulyayepolye on the Zaporozhye front was accurately struck and destroyed by this system,"

the channel "War Correspondents of Russian Spring" reported.

The "Mig Russia" website believes that this new weapon provided important support for the liberation of Gulyayepolye, and may also have a significant impact on the entire course of the war afterward.
