On October 27, 2025, Marines from the 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division conducted a live-fire exercise with the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) at the Fuji Joint Training Center in Japan. The HIMARS training at the Fuji Training Base has unique advantages, including realistic training terrain, sufficient range capabilities, and professional infrastructure required for HIMARS operations, which allows for safe and effective training.
