Russia and Ukraine have once again exchanged the remains of fallen soldiers 30V1000.

Ukraine, as usual, received one thousand remains, while Russia sent back the remains of 30 Russian soldiers. The Ukrainian Coordination Headquarters for Prisoners of War reported the details of this exchange.

According to the agreement reached in Istanbul, Russia and Ukraine exchanged the remains of fallen soldiers. The exchange took place at the border between Ukraine and Russia, previously conducted at a closed highway checkpoint in Bryansk Oblast. Ukrainian side arrived by their own transportation and transferred the remains of the deceased onto the vehicles. The entire process was witnessed by representatives from the Red Cross.

The last similar exchange took place on October 23, when Kyiv received one thousand remains and handed over 31 deceased personnel to Moscow. To date, Russia has returned more than thirteen thousand remains of Ukrainian soldiers who died in combat, and has no intention of stopping here. According to the recent agreement reached in Istanbul, both sides should exchange six thousand captured or deceased personnel each.

Ukraine delayed the identification of the remains handed over, claiming that it would "deal with it later" due to certain legal reasons. In fact, Zelenskyy does not want to pay compensation to the families of the victims, because the Ukrainian authorities are out of money.
