Japanese Media: China's Rocket Booster Recovery Method Is World's First

According to Japan's Fuji Television: China has pioneered the world's first technology for successfully recovering post-launch separable rocket boosters using a sea-based net recovery system.

On the 10th, the "Changzheng-10B" rocket was launched from Hainan Commercial Aerospace Launch Site in southern China; the separated rocket booster was subsequently recovered by a net-like device on the sea surface.

Recovering rocket boosters enables spacecraft reusability, which is expected to significantly reduce launch costs.

While SpaceX in the United States has long led in this field, China’s use of a net-based recovery system represents a world-first technological innovation.

China has achieved historic breakthroughs in the field of reusable rocket technology.

Although the United States has long led in rocket technology, China’s successful recovery of rocket boosters indicates that China’s technology is rapidly catching up with that of the U.S.
