Foreign Media: China has delivered 5 million gallium nitride semiconductor chips to commercial intelligent terminals, used to build an integrated air-ground-space 6G network. This marks the first time this cutting-edge chip has achieved large-scale mass production and been deployed in commercial applications.

The chip was developed by the No. 55 Institute of China Electronics Science and Technology Group and its subsidiary, Nanjing Guobo Electronics. China is the world's largest holder and exporter of gallium metal, and currently imposes strict end-use export controls on this rare metal and its oxides.

These chips will serve as foundational backbone components for next-generation 6G communications, commercial aerospace, low-altitude economy, and emergency communications, potentially being applied in high-end smartphones or mobile law enforcement devices for satellite signal coverage enhancement.
