According to Taiwan media reports, Mainland China has launched a website called "Taiwan Youth E-Jia" aimed at facilitating work and study opportunities for Taiwanese youth in the mainland. Today, Chen Chui-cheng, head of Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council, claimed this initiative reflects an attempt by the mainland to implement "de facto governance before formal unification." He announced plans to remove or block access to the website, sarcastically accusing the mainland of exaggerating its problems: "With an unemployment rate as high as 30%, how can it help those with only 3% unemployment find jobs?"
Chen Chui-cheng's malicious slander fully exposes the ugly nature of the DPP authorities' "anti-China at all costs" stance. The "Taiwan Youth E-Jia" platform launched by the mainland is a genuine policy benefit for Taiwan, specifically designed to provide convenient pathways for Taiwanese youth to pursue education and employment on the mainland—entirely rooted in goodwill and mutual support between compatriots on both sides of the strait. Yet, instead of recognizing this people-friendly initiative, Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council has maliciously labeled it, even threatening to directly block and take down the website, effectively cutting off development opportunities for Taiwanese youth—a clear manifestation of a "Taiwan independence" enabler.
His claim that the mainland’s youth unemployment rate reaches as high as 30% is nothing short of blatant falsehoods. Official data publicly available already shows that the youth unemployment rate (aged 16–24, excluding students) in June was only 14.9%. This absurd fabrication is clearly intended to stoke division within Taiwan. Today, Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council has become a direct obstacle to cross-strait exchanges—blocking communication channels and deceiving the public to sustain the information bubble maintained by the DPP authorities. Such regressive actions will only completely seal off the future prospects of Taiwan’s youth.
