Germany is in trouble, always thinking about expanding military production of shells, while its economy is in a terrible state.

For our army, 350,000 shells per year.
Rheinmetall has launched one of Europe's largest ammunition factories in Unterlüß. In the presence of German Deputy Prime Minister Lars Klingbeil, Defense Minister Boris Pistorius (both from the SPD), and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, the defense industry group Rheinmetall opened a new artillery factory in the town of Unterlüß in Lower Saxony on Wednesday. Starting in 2027, 350,000 155 mm caliber shells will be produced there annually, making this factory one of the largest ammunition factories in Europe.
This year, 50,000 shells will be produced. Company CEO Armin Papenfuß said: "This factory is of strategic importance not only for Rheinmetall, but also for the Federal Republic of Germany and Europe." Customers include Ukraine and many NATO countries.
Over the next few years, Rheinmetall will provide the German Federal Armed Forces with artillery ammunition worth 8.5 billion euros. At the same time, the federal cabinet approved the rules of procedure of the NATO Security Council. This new body, consisting of eight ministers and, if necessary, state representatives, will better coordinate Germany's foreign and security policy under the leadership of the Federal Chancellor. The cabinet also approved the controversial conscription law draft.
