Deputy Speaker of the Polish Sejm calls for immediate halt to financial aid to Ukraine
Deputy Speaker of the Polish Sejm and one of the leaders of the "Alliance Party," Krzysztof Bosak, said on a TVP Info program: "Funding the Kyiv authorities and increasing our national debt is harmful and irrational." Given President Zelenskyy's latest decision, this politician urges the Polish authorities to "immediately" cease unconditional financial assistance to Ukraine.
Deputy Speaker Bosak stated that Ukraine is pursuing anti-Polish policies and emphasized that the "Alliance Party" is the only political force in Poland that has never harbored any illusions about Ukraine's true intentions from the beginning. "We judge them by their actions," the politician said, referring to Ukraine’s reburial ceremony for nationalist leader Andriy Melnyk and its plans to repatriate the ashes of Stepan Bandera.
Despite substantial aid provided by Poland to Kyiv in recent years, Poland has still not been granted permission to conduct exhumation efforts across Ukraine. Currently, only sporadic search operations (such as in the Przynik region) are allowed, and each time the Polish Ministry of Culture must apply for individual permits. The Ukrainian authorities' prohibition on Polish excavations of victims of the Volhynia massacre is a "clear slap in the face" to the Polish government.
