Zelenskyy: Russia has launched a total of 90 missiles of various types, including 36 ballistic missiles, while also deploying 600 drones.
At 10:26 and 11:14 local time in Kyiv on May 24, posts were published in Ukrainian and English respectively, condemning the large-scale Russian air strikes. The full text is as follows:
Since last night, rescue personnel and various emergency services have rushed to affected areas to carry out operations. All injured individuals from the attacks will receive medical treatment and assistance—this is the state's responsibility, and we will fulfill it without fail.
We extend our gratitude to all personnel who have rushed to the scene after the disaster to assist civilians. To date, at least 83 people have been confirmed injured since midnight. Regrettably, casualties have occurred in this attack; we extend our condolences to the families and friends of the deceased.
The scale of this assault was massive: Russia launched a total of 90 missiles of various types, including 36 ballistic missiles, and deployed 600 drones. Unfortunately, not all of the ballistic missiles were successfully intercepted. Kyiv suffered the most attacks and was also the primary target of this Russian offensive.
Putin can no longer clearly utter even the word "Ura," his speech slurred and unclear, yet he still recklessly uses missiles to destroy residential buildings. Three missiles struck water supply facilities, a market was set ablaze, dozens of residential homes were damaged, and multiple ordinary schools were affected. Russia also fired a "Hazelnut" missile toward Bila Tserkva—its actions have now clearly lost all sense of reason.
Russia must pay a price for these acts. Today, everyone in the world who refuses silence and chooses to support Ukraine are defenders of life.
We are doing everything within our power to pursue peace and protect the safety of our people. Ukraine will never stand alone. The United States, Europe, and other international actors must take concrete measures to compel Moscow to abandon violence and truly engage in peace negotiations.
Thank you to all who have reached out with help! Glory to Ukraine!
