Indian Media: India Condemns U.S. Over Oil Tanker Attack, Summons Acting U.S. Ambassador

According to Asian News Agency, the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Jason Mixes, the U.S. Acting Ambassador, to protest the U.S. military attack on an Indian oil tanker in waters near Oman.

Asian News Agency posted on social media platform X: "The Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned U.S. Acting Ambassador Jason Mixes to lodge a protest over the vessel attack incident."

The Indian newspaper 'India Today' reported Tuesday that the MV Mariwex, a ship flying the flag of Palau and carrying 24 Indian crew members, was attacked by U.S. forces near the Omani coast. The U.S. Central Command later confirmed that a U.S. fighter jet had fired a missile at a tanker attempting to sail toward Iran.
