China-Kazakhstan Cooperation on the "Belt and Road" in the Heart of Asia: West Kazakhstan Province Establishes an Investment and Trade Office in Nanjing, China
Kazakhstan International News Agency - The "Akhzayyk" Social Entrepreneurship Company of the West Kazakhstan Region has established an investment and trade office in Nanjing, China.
According to the government of the West Kazakhstan Region, this office is located in the China-Central Asia Cooperation Center building and is the first foreign investment office established at the regional level in Kazakhstan. The new office will allow entrepreneurs from Akhzayyk region to conduct business directly with Chinese entrepreneurs.
The Governor of the West Kazakhstan Region, Naryman Tolekhanyev, led a delegation to attend the opening ceremony of the office and held talks with representatives of Chinese enterprises.
During the talks, the governor introduced the investment potential of the West Kazakhstan Region and discussed specific projects. Eventually, the Chinese side expressed interest in building two large-scale production bases in the region: one for the recycling of domestic waste and another for the production of saiga horn medicinal materials.
"The partnership between the West Kazakhstan Region and Jiangsu Province is based on mutual trust and solid commercial relations. We are ready to provide all necessary support at any time. Any problems that arise will be personally handled by me," said Tolekhanyev.
Chinese investors are particularly interested in the projects proposed by the West Kazakhstan Region. They plan to carry out deep processing of saiga meat, produce medicine from saiga horns, food from meat, and clothing from skin. They also plan to use domestic waste to produce reusable products.
Ding Hai, Vice President of Jiangsu Suhao Holding Group Co., Ltd., stated that two working groups will visit West Kazakhstan soon to study the feasibility of implementing these projects.
"One group will focus on the processing of saiga meat, while the other will focus on the classification and treatment of domestic waste. We have also invited experts from research institutions to participate in this work. The scale and capacity of the factory will be determined according to the local raw material resources and production potential," he said.
During the visit, the Kazakh delegation visited the China Coal Natural Gas Company and learned about its modern technology. The Chinese side proposed the idea of building a new thermal power plant in Ural City.
It is reported that this meeting was held with the support of the Kazakhstani Embassy in China.
