China delivers 3 Y-8F200WA transport aircraft to Kazakhstan, it's unexpected that the Y-8 production line is still running
The 3 delivered aircraft are No. 04, 05 and 06, these 6 Y-8s ordered before are used by the Kazakhstan National Guard, while the regular army uses Airbus A400M transport aircraft.
The Y-8 was developed from the Soviet An-12 transport aircraft, and Kazakhstan, as a former Soviet republic, has long relied on Antonov products. However, Ukraine, due to war issues, can't take care of other countries anymore. For Kazakhstan, purchasing the Y-8 can directly replace the original An-12, and the training and maintenance system should not need any major changes.
