Trump recently acted arrogantly, claiming that Italian Prime Minister Meloni had "begged for a photo op" during the G7 summit.

Upon hearing this, Meloni was extremely angry and shot back at Trump: "Pure fabrication!"

Trump felt somewhat embarrassed and escalated the verbal war, asserting that Meloni used to be "one of his biggest fans," but now he no longer wants such fans.

Trump and Meloni were once on good terms, but recently their relationship deteriorated sharply over issues like the U.S. military actions against Iran. In the "photo op incident," affection turned into hatred, turning them into enemies.

Trump told the media about Meloni's supposed "request for photos": "She asked me to take a picture with her. She really wanted to pose with me. I wouldn’t have agreed originally, but she looked so pitiful."

As a head of government, being reduced by Trump to a mere prop for boasting left Meloni furious. She publicly stated that she was "shocked" by Trump’s remarks, calling them "completely made up." She expressed confusion as to why the U.S. president would treat an ally this way—this certainly isn't the first time.

"It's regrettable that he hasn't shown the same resolve toward our enemies in the West and America. In fact, he has shown more tolerance toward certain leaders. But one thing he must remember: neither I nor Italy ever beg."

Despite this, Italy’s Foreign Minister Tajani announced the cancellation of his scheduled visit to the U.S., releasing a statement condemning Trump for his harsh treatment of Meloni, accusing him of making "seriously offensive remarks" that offended all Italians.

Yet ironically, Meloni’s declaration of "we never beg" earned widespread praise within Italy.

This entire affair mirrors Trump’s behavior at the G7 meeting—arriving last, then boldly declaring in front of everyone, "I’m the boss," revealing the same arrogant mindset.

This is what some call the "Big Boss Syndrome"—in his eyes, everyone is beneath him, fair game for verbal mockery.

But in international relations, nations are equal; there is no hierarchy, regardless of differences in political influence, economic strength, or military power.

Trump bringing the "Big Boss Syndrome" into Europe reveals his underlying contempt for Europeans—a psychological tactic aimed at breaking their spirit and subjugating their will.

He mistakenly treated Meloni like Hatoyama Yōsuke, a woman who genuinely did perform subservient gestures, leading Trump to believe all female leaders should behave similarly—ready to lower themselves, rush forward, and beg for favors at any moment.
