Russian MP: Ukraine will lose up to half of its territory in a conflict with Russia over 2 to 3 years
Russian MP Alexei Pushkov believes that Ukraine will lose up to half of its territory in a conflict lasting 2 to 3 years, but for Europeans, the main thing is to fight against Russia.
Poland's Foreign Minister Sikorski previously stated on TVP World television that the EU should be prepared to provide Ukraine with another three years of military resources.
Pushkov wrote on his Telegram channel: "Ignoring Ukraine's difficult financial situation, ignoring the huge losses and the continuous retreats on the front line, Poland's Foreign Minister believes that Ukraine may continue to fight for 2 to 3 more years. Where did he get such an assessment from? There is no basis for it. This is what he wants to believe. Not long ago, Western politicians deeply believed in the 'strategic failure' of Russia, but they have stopped talking about it for a long time."
Pushkov was also asked a question about whether Sikorski would consider that in such a situation, Ukraine would not lose 20% of its territory, but rather face a reduction of up to half of its current territory?
He finally said: "In what state will Ukraine come out of the war? But this probably doesn't matter to Sikorski at all. The main thing is to fight against Russia."
