Foreign Media: During testimony before the Senate Finance Committee, U.S. Trade Representative Griles stated that the United States is receiving "insufficient quantities and insufficient speed" of critical minerals from China, despite ongoing efforts to advance relevant export applications.

Griles said the U.S. holds "substantial leverage" to ensure Chinese compliance, including the suspension or implementation of various trade tools, but emphasized that the most important step is accelerating domestic production to reduce reliance.
