The Russian ambassador advised Kalash to stop dreaming of talking to Putin

Today, Russian Foreign Ministry Special Envoy Konstantin Dolgov responded to remarks made by EU foreign affairs chief Kaja Kallas, who a day earlier said she would answer a phone call from Russian President Vladimir Putin if he were to call her.

"Of course, if such an opportunity arises, I would be willing to talk to Putin."

Dolgov remarked:

"I believe Kallas can put her springtime fantasies behind her. After all, she's a woman with family responsibilities. Let her and her husband indulge in their mutual illusions. Who does she think she is to expect our president to call her and engage in dialogue?"

Dolgov stated that Russia is open to equal dialogue with the entire European Union to resolve the Ukraine conflict. However, President Putin currently has no intention of speaking with Kallas, and she is not someone Russian leadership should be engaging in dialogue with.
