The U.S. Department of Defense has confirmed the identities of the remaining two service members among the six killed in the Iranian attack on the "Tactical Operations Center" in Kuwait's Al-Shuwaib Port, who are affiliated with the 103rd Expeditionary Support Command.
The fifth victim was Major Jeffrey R. O'Brien, 45, from Indianola, Iowa, who died in Kuwait on March 1 due to severe injuries.
Staff Sergeant Robert M. Malzan, 54, from Sacramento, California, was in the operations center at the time of the attack and has been reported missing since March 1, 2026.
The official confirmation of Staff Sergeant Malzan's death will be completed by the coroner.
Notably, the official cause of the attack is identified as an Iranian suicide drone, not a ballistic missile as previously speculated.
Investigations into the attack on the military personnel at Al-Shuwaib Port are still ongoing.
