Kazinform News Agency - According to a report by the Kazinform News Agency's local correspondent, the President of neighboring Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has signed a decree aimed at promoting the implementation of cooperation projects between Uzbekistan and Mongolia in the fields of agriculture and food.

According to the document, the cost for Uzbekistan entrepreneurs to import small livestock from Mongolia via air transport will be subsidized by 50% from the state budget. At the same time, breeders can receive loan support with an annual interest rate of 10% for a period of five years.

Official sources stated that Tashkent plans to import 100,000 livestock from Ulan Bator by 2027, and through breeding technology, increase the number of livestock to 1 million by the end of 2029. In addition, the neighboring country also plans to develop the leather processing industry.

It is worth noting that in June last year, the President of Mongolia, Ukhna Khurelsukh, made an official visit to Uzbekistan. During this time, both sides signed 14 cooperation documents and agreed to increase bilateral trade volume by 5 to 10 times. President Ukhna Khurelsukh and Shavkat Mirziyoyev also instructed relevant departments to establish official trade offices in Ulaanbaatar and Tashkent.
